    Dangly bits..
The breast thread got me thinking but I didn't want to digress and hijack it into another topic so..

As I said on that thread, myself and a lot of my female friends also find women's breasts attractive. But, on a completely different forum I was reading something similar, and somehow the topic got onto the penis and an awful lot of men and women seemed to think them not very attractive which really surprised me. I think all of mens bits are very attractive as long as they are in reasonably good shape and health. So what do the rest of you think?

Same answer as on the breast thread: If you have to ask why a person's "stuff" is attractive, then you're not mature enough for the answer. Nobody on Earth can explain to YOU why YOU find something attractive. And asking others why they've formed their opinions potentially undermines why YOU came to your particular belief. Go with the flow.

The problem I have with these questions is this: How can anyone POSSIBLY explain WHY something is attractive or not?

And not even in sexual terms! Why is a ladybug cute and a cockroach disgusting? They're both bugs! Why are flowers considered "pretty"? Why do hairstyles change, and what was attractive at one point is hilarious now? (please--think of the mullet and you will understand what I'm talking about).

Attraction, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. If you ask 30 people why they find something attractive, you'll get 30 different answers.

You ask what we think? I personally (being a guy) do not think there is anything at all sexy about yabows and worms. They seem like an odd appendage to me for some reason.

I mean women have a whole in their body that has several different functions, we have this thing that does only two things. Seems like what it should seem like, a key. The key to life. And personally it's a very odd way to think about it but that is what it is really.

I just think about the sensation and not the lazy skin. Gross!

But on the other hand female genitals hold the worlds attraction to me. I want nothing more out of the night than to go there for her. There is just something about that part of the body that is more attractive (in most cases) than any other part of the body... OK nobody gets off track like me, sorry

I got this sudden urge to quote Denis Leary, which has me wanting to say so many inappropriate things.

Synnen has it right though, it is all in the eye of the beholder. You might find circumsized men attractive, or uncut, or shave, or trimmed, or big old bushy men, or prince Alberts, or what not. It is up to you.

I don't find all breasts I see attractive. I don't find all nude women, or women as a whole attractive. It is as it always has been, personal taste.

With regards to penises as a whole, being a guy, I like mine. I don't find it ugly or attractive, it just sort of is. It is a piece of me.

Hahaha... wife has asked me how I walk with those there, don't they bother me?

Just tell her, nope... they've always been there. And only becomes an annoyance in public when I see a really hot woman.

I wasn't looking for reasons, just curious as to how people feel. Maybe I didn't express it well. It was only light-hearted mild curiousity. On another forum that I was reading there was more enthusiasm for the female form in general than the male, from both sexes, which sort of surpised me.

I just assumed that people would find their own bodies acceptable and that of the opposite sex (or same sex depending on sexual orientation) most attractive.

Then I sort of got wondering if cultural conditioning plays a part. But as I said nothing more than mild curiosity.

If you like the other person, his or her parts are just part of that being. If I like a person, I like his or her parts too.

There are people who either dislike, distrust or are afraid of the sexual organs of the opposite sex. That always makes me nervous, especially if the people in question are heterosexually married.

Its odd but I believe that most people view women as much more attractive in general. Just an opinion though.

It could also be the entire, men are visual/tactile people and for women it is more mental.

As well what people find attractive depends on what they are looking for in a mate. When a man looks at a woman they will subconsciously look at their various attributes, i.e. breasts, bottom, legs, head, face, belly, and judge whether they're acceptable their current requirements. I believe that women will do the same thing except they'll have different requirements.

Men need to, talking in a strictly functional/pre-technological sense, be strong, good defenders, and good providers. I think that a strong, lean, successful man would be just as physically attractive to a woman as a stack woman would be to a man. The other thing to consider is that a man's penis doesn't relate to his fitness. Johnny two inch could be a excellent father and husband, while Long Dong Wilson could just be horrible.

Then there is the entire body modification side of it. We won't even go there.

As a man, I don't like looking at other men's s. They aren't attractive to me.

    Hello Q:

I think cultural conditioning IS the culprit. We, as a society, idolize the female form. I say WE, because men's magazines are full of beautiful women, and women's magazines are too. The question I have, is which came first? Magazines that display women, or women that want to buy magazines that display women?

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say that women are a lot more comfortable with bisexuality than are men.

I think that's true, most women don't seem to feel threatened by the idea of being bisexual even if they aren't whereas a lot of hetro men seem to find it necessary to make sure we are all sure about their striaghtness.
Then again quite a few men seem to find the idea of girl on girl a turn-on but I don't think women generally feel the same way about guy on guy.

    HA!

That's what YOU think. The right two guys is HOT.

Ron Jeremy on Ron Jeremy? Not so much. Two hard bodied male strippers all greased up and all over each other--that's HOT.

Oh gosh synn I just got sick lol. I have to say I disagree, but that's just me lol. Girl on girl is great, especially with oil. :) but Q you are right about the whole strait guys announcing their straitness.

I think that men are much much more close minded. Not to mention we have this macho thing that associates being gay with being weak or rather non-manly in some way. Personally I don't care, I hate if someone thinks I am gay, but that is simply because everyone thinks I am, but I don't really care about the title of what I am. I am who I am and that's all there really is to it. Do I find men attractive? Vin Desile maybe, but would I get down with the guy? Heck no. I have no desire to ever be with a male. I however have no issue with saying he's hot. I have friends that just give me the sickest look when I say those things lol, probably why they are think I'm gay.

My fiancé and I know different and that's really all that matters. She certainly isn't just a wig either, she is the hottest thing on two legs, unless she is on her hands and knees that is. :) Anyway... I know people who are just totally freaked out by guy guy relationships. I'm not but I do have to say that I do not want to see them making out in the streets or anything like that. That's gross for everyone. But I have to say, if I saw two girls making out in the street I might wet myself right there with drool streamin down from my dropped jaw as I am not in any way blinking. Yummy...

We have a thread called "dangly bits" and you figured that out. It could be renamed "dancing with the grapes" with an almost identical effect knowing the subject.

Larken--but I'm female. Guy on guy is hot to me.

BUT--you say girl on girl is hot to you. Betcha it's not every single time. Rosanne Barr making out with Rosie O'donnel probably isn't high on your girl-on-girl action list. Betcha Betty White on Bea Arthur isn't on your list, either.

It's when it's two people we would normally be attracted to are making out with each other that it's attractive to us--not the gender of the people involved, but the attractiveness to us.

I think it is starting to be more acceptable for men to say things like this. I mean it's not that long ago that women wouldn't but cultural mores change and I think some men are starting to feel OK about it too. I was saying in mixed company that I had had a hot dream about Joey in 'Friends' and thought it was a bit silly. One of the guy's (who is straight) said, 'Oh yeah Joey, I can dig that'.

So I reckon you're just with the leading pack on this one. The times they are a changing...

Let me be the contrarian. I so enjoy the role.

Two works of art epitomize nudes. Michaelangelo's "David" and the "Birth of Venus."
    Attachment 30237 Attachment 30238

David is beautiful. He has dangly bits. They are well-sculpted, well formed (in life), and Dave is hung. Do they make him beautiful - no. Would he be less beautiful without them - yes.

Venus is beautiful. She has breasts. Again, well-painted, well formed, and prominent. They are as much part of the art as David's dangly bits.

Sexual characteristics make us sexual beings. Wouldn't it be boring without them?
