    What is a miscarriage
    That's the question, what's a miscarriage?

Miscarriage is when you lose a preterm baby from artificial means, misadventure or just plain bad health.

Why don't you ask your mom these questions ?

It doesn't require "misadventure" or "bad health" to cause a miscarriage. Sometimes you can be perfectly healthy and have done nothing "wrong" and the fetus will prematurely abort.

My OB told me nearly every woman has miscarried, most don't even realize it. They just assume they are having a bad period.

If you think you are pregnant or have miscarried, please see your health professional.

Sorry Tick, but even the most healthy of women can lose a baby. I personally know of a woman who has had 13 miscarriages. She is one of the most healthy women I know. It wasn't until her only born natural child that her condition was identified, Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura, a bleeding disorder.

Most times it is never known what causes a miscarriage.

I also know of one woman who has very bad health and is a habitual drug abuser and she is about to deliver her 9th child. So you can't chalk it up to misadventure or bad health.
