40 mgs of subutex and 6mgs ativan daily for 2 years
No one wants to touch me! No detoxes will accept me. My dr. refuses to wean me down.I have just made an app with cleveland clinic, main campus.they gave me no details or info about how they could treat me.they just said the app would be at least 2 hours.I am so afraid.I've detoxed from high amounts of oxycontin(after a 5 year habit) and also, detoxed from 150 mgs of methadone(*4 years of).I had seizures and my legs would just give out when I tried to walk... I'd fall to the floor.the anxiety and depression ,sleeplessness and pain and craving almost led me to suicide.I am so afraid. If ,anyone has been to cleveland clinic for drug detox-rehab ,please please let me know what it is about &if they can help.I need to be normal to care for my family. I am desperate.l thanks for reading.I pray that there is just 1 person who can give me useful advise or let me know how cleveland clinic is. Have a blessed easter and I hope someone can help.

Thanks Fr.Chuck.then,I'll need to find a rehab.I am also roman catholic(non-practising,at the time).do you happen to know if,there are any catholic rehabs?thanks in advance. I feel very lucky to have received 2 answers, already.I'm very isolated and it is such a relief to just have human contact! Thanks again for taking the time to help a stranger.

Honestly it don't matter what type of rehab, you know when you have had enough the detoxing is a very small but hard part of this, isolation is not good either have you tried any local narcotics annonymous meetings? They have people who are clean, using, detoxing and offer support so your not alone, you have nothing to loose give it a go, good luck x

Addiction sometimes results in damage to organs, ex: liver, as well as systemic deficiencies, malnutrition, vitamin deficiencies, and alterations of the nervous system. Abrupt withdrawal, in such cases, can result in extreme and unpredictable physical consequences such as seizure, dangerously high heart rate and blood pressure, vomiting with the possibility of aspiration (drowning in vomit), hallucinations, unconsciousness. Serious injury and even death can occur. Medical supervision and treatment during this phase of withdrawal is essential. Often it is necessary to monitor an individual for physical symptoms and signs following medical detoxification.

Beyond the physical, medicine (including psychiatry) has a very poor record in dealing with rehabilitation of addictions of all sorts. NA and similar support groups are, in my opinion superior in long-term rehabilitation efforts.

However, in relation to the complaints as presented by the OP, above, any attempt to forego medical assistance would be ill advised and dangerous.

I am an addict in successful recovery. I just celebrated my first year of being clean and sober. It can be done. I also am Cathoilc, but that is irrelevant. You go to wherever you can go , have an open mind, and be willing to change every aspect of your life. You just obey the rules, and follow instruction. You'll be fine.

    May God bless you.
