I have been given a lawn tractor with a Briggs & Stratton motor 402707-1212-01
After servicing it,(it was in serious need of that) it went for 30 metres across the lawn and died.
I replaced the coil as there was no spark. This has not worked! Still no spark.
We have used and rebuilt lawn tractors before but this has us stumped.
Please help.

If your sure its not getting spark ,check all the kill wires make sure its not going to ground.
But this could have a fuel solenoid on the carb,if this went bad it would not start but it would have fire,spray some carb cleaner in the carb see if it starts.

Thanks DG. I have removed all kill wires that I could find. Am going to take new coil back and get it checked.
The machine doesn't have a solenoid on the bottom of the carb.
