6th year f-1 student should fill out 8843 or not for myself/wife
    Hello,
I am a 6th year F-1 student. I became a resident alien for tax purposes. I filed 1040EZ with a W-9 for my wife(F-2). She is in US for two years only. Do I need to file 8843 for myself and/or for my wife?
As an extension, I am still waiting for ITIN number for my wife to fill out state taxes. But I did not get any reply from IRS yet. What should I do? Just fill as single?
    Thanks,
    Mustafa

Did you file joint return as residents and attach W-7 (ITIN application) with your tax return?

Yes, for state tax return file an extension, and pay the tax due. File return after you get ITIN.
