Forms to get off federal probation early
I was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment and 5 years probation in the federal system. I asked my probation officer when I could apply to get off probation, she said "the law is 1 year, our policy however is 18 months". It has been 18 months, with 100% compliance. When I asked her she told me to contact my lawyer. I don't have $ for him. Can I file/ petition myself?

Please post once - if the PO said to use an Attorney I would do just that. You may get one chance at this.

    Find a less expensive Attorney.

Ask the PO to show you in the rules and Regulatoins. The Feds call them SOP ( standard operating procedures) the exact rules on getting off probation early.

    Hello george:

The Padre has it right. Once you SEE the rules, and you know you meet the criteria for early release, make a written request on ANY old piece of paper outlining your eligibility.

I wrote a thing about transfer of probation using these techniques... Go read it and use the SAME techniques to get what you want.

    PS> I agree with you. PO'S SUCK.
