My girlfriend and I have been together for over a year now. She just recently told me she wanted to take a break, but I thought we figured that all out. She wanted me to call her more at night and text her more. She also wanted me to be less controlling. Well she just went on a spring break to Florida and told me she didn't want to text all day, and when I tried to call her at night she didn't want to talk then either. We have talked everyday for almost a year and then when she wants me to talk to her more she is just cutting all communication with me. What do I do? What does this mean? Should I give her space and just not think too much of it?

She's on vacation - leave her alone until she gets back. She has your number as well, so she can call you when she's free. She could just be busy with her friends. Ask her if she wants to get dinner when she gets back and catch up about her vacation. Absence either makes the heart grown fonder, or you figure out u don't need the person.

I know she said she wants u to call at night, but maybe she needs a bit of space while she is on vacation - I agree she shouldn't ignore you completely though. Talk to her about it when she is home.

So, are you trying to control her vacation?

Try not to be so insecure and jump to conclusions in your mind. That will only drive you crazy!

I honestly am so glad that I posted this question on here, and I am going to take everyone's advice, but what you said about the assumptions driving me crazy well that has been happening. I think you are absolutely right about having trust in her and I am going to do just that. Thank you so much for your help.

Sweetie, she is on vacation... Telling OP that he can find a better girl and to break it off is only adding more fuel to the fire. That is jumping to conclusions. Haven't you ever been on vacation before? I see your heart is in the right place, and I understand where you are coming from, however, this girl that he is with could very well be legit.

What karakisin said is not what is happening. She is at this theme park all day with her friends and is exhausted when she gets back and tells me she just wants to go to bed. I was worried that she was losing interest in our relationship because she was the one who wanted to talk so bad every night. I think my problem is after she wanted to take a break a couple weeks ago it hurt and I am just so afraid to lose her that little things like not talking is making me jump to way BIGGER conclusions.
