Can I put blonde dye over dyed brown hair
I dyed my naturally blonde hair brown and I want to dye it back to blonde so is it safe to put blonde hair dye over my already dyed brown hair. The dye has faded a lot and I can see blonde streaks in my hair. Please help

    Hello,

First off, color doesn't lift color... Meaning that if you have already colored your hair, you can't just color it back to the blonde shade you desire. The only way that you will be able to lift the color, is by using bleach. I would strongly suggest that you go to a salon to have this done. Also what a "Professional" could also do, is strip the current color. Again, I would have a professional do this. I wouldn't try doing this at home, you will run the risk of bad damage, improper application as well as placement.

Trust me on this, I have seen a lot of women ruin their hair by attempting to do this at home.

    Good luck!

Actually.. you can do it yourself, without bleach and without damaging your hair. I did it myself.

Buy a product called Colour B4. It removes the colour molecules in your hair and reduces your colour to a much lighter one. Afterwards, put your desired blonde shade over it, make sure it's quite light because your hair will be very porous and also make sure it has more ash tones rather than yellow tones.

    Goodluck
