    State select electric water heater
    Hey Speedball1,

I have a State Select water heater that the reset button has to be pushed every morning. It is the red button on the water heater its self. Sounds like a common problem with this heater. What do think is causing it, and how do I test to be sure? And where do I get a replacement part?

    Thanks for Your Help

I don't know how old your heater is but I can tell you that a few years ago AO Smith bought State. They manufacture Whirlpool and Kenmore heaters as well. The reset button is typically part of the upper thermostat so you may only need to replace that though they make a plumbers kit that includes both thermostats and elements. Call State with your model number and serial number and see if they can be of more help.
