I'm trying to replace a fan switch from a Hampton Bay ceiling fan & linghts. There are four 4 wires from the motor to the switch: black, gray, purple & brown, that connect to the switch terminals: 1, 2, 3 & 4; I do not know which goes where? I did tried two options but it did not work, I do not want to ware out the switch terminals (they are push in type). Please I need your help!
