    Basement Ceiling Condensation?
    Hello all,

I recently discovered water droplets on the ceiling of a closet in my basement. I believe it to be condensation because It appears on only half of the ceiling in the closet, closest to the exterior wall and doesn't appear to be really dripping: just moist. It's a finished basement with a full bathroom in the opposite corner.
Just discovered it last night and doesn't appear to be anywhere else in the basement or house. We did just encounter a significant snowfall and running the heat.
Any help you can offer to determine if water is caused by a leak or just condensation as well as how to fix is greatly appreciated.

My guess is that (closet) being next to an exterior wall, your getting a draft into the ceiling area of the closet.
Probably lack on insulation in the ceiling area and also limited air circulation in the closet, you have that cold ceiling surface and some heat slowly getting into the closet and forms the condensation.

Keep the closet doors open for a while and see if you see any more signs of the condensation.

Its difficult trying to determine if its from a leak with out being there.
