    93 toyota camry won't start
I have a 93 toyota camry also dad's a mechanic we checked there is no spark no power to the coil and we sent power straight to the coil with one of his tools and it blew his circuit breaker, no power going to the ign nor the fuel pump we were thinking it could be the ECM but still looking for any others who had this problem ty

Sounds like it could be a relay? Have you checked all of them ?

Yes I have checked all the relay's they are all good but when we send power directly to the coil it blows our circuit breaker also the am2 fuse blows every time we plug it in but the owners manual says that it only runs headlights but I'm not sure sometimes they run other things

    Hi, freestatement!

The Camry that won't start questions seem to come up fairly frequently on this site. I'm another one of the victims...

If you click on links that you'll find on this page as well as use the search function, you'll be able to find the various threads.

    Thanks!

If fuses keep blowing then somewhere you have a dead short in the system. You need to check that circuit first. If you have running light ( fog lamps ) attatched to the system its possible that the harness has worn through. If the fuse is blowing and no lights are on then you have a short before it goes to the lighting system.

So do you know anything about why there is no power going to coil, fuel pump and, igniter

If you have a short then that is where the "power" goes. You need to find out what is going on first. If the ignition switch checks out and you have power to it and from it then check the next point. Your going to need a decent schematic to get through wiring problems. Somehow you have a interrupt somewhere.

Do you know where I can get a good wireing diagram?

If your dad is a mechanic then you might want to ask him. Do you know how to read one?

The AM2 fuse pops because the condenser inside the dist is shorting it. You can see how it's melted when you pull it out.
Quite a simple little problem that will leave the best of mechanics scratching their heads.
The ole been there done that story.

You I know how to read one but do you know if there is a short in the distribter if it won't send power to the fuel pump and the ignition module? Cuase some guy said that it was bad but we don't think he is right
