    Please help with thyroid question!
I would like to ask about a thyroid problem, I have been told that my t4 levels are raised, I believe this to be overactive thyroid? But I do not think it has been raised for long as I have had my thyroid checked regularly. I was wondering when I may get symptoms as I have not noticed anything, I was particularly wondering about weight loss? Would I have had to have it a long time before I start losing weight? I hope this is clear and thanku for any answers.

If you indeed have an overactive thyroid, that basically means that your thyroid is producing more thyroid hormone then your body needs. Having an overactive thyroid can cause many symptoms, not only weight.Your thyroid controls almost every aspect of your body. It can produce blood pressure changes, as well. You may not notice anything immediately happening. Has your doctor prescribed thyroid medication ? And what other medical conditions do you have ?

No my doctor has not given anything yet, he wants to do another blood test, before referring me to a specialist. I have a problem with going to wee a lot and headaches which he thinks maybe connected, he mentioned the pituiary gland, but this is all new to me so I am just trying to find out a bit more. Oh and on a recent eye test is was told that my eyes were a bit dry?? I just wondered about the weght loss because I am not losing weightat all! Thank you for your response to my question.
