I want to write my career aspiration in my apprisal form. I am working branch operations executive in insurance industry from last 3yrs. My age is 26yrs. Please help me.

I started my Life Insurance career
At age 26.
This was back in 1956.
I had the same problem that you face to-day.
My answer was to go to the University and enrol for a double degree in Economics and Majoring
In Accounting.
This made the aspirations I had quite clear.
I wanted to become a CEO of a life Insurance company.
From a Renewals clerk in 1956
I rose in rank through many departments .
Overdue Premiums Department.
Superannuation Department
(2nd in charge of 20 employees)
Underwriter especially for Group Life Insurance (specialist)
Re-Insurance Officer in charge
Of life and disability companies.
Administration Manager.
Finally when I got my two degrees
I became OPERATIONS Manager
For the Life Company which made
Me No.2 to the CEO.
I got my degrees , honours in Accounting.
I never looked back.
I left the Industry in 1984
To open my Accountancy Practice.
I was also a lecturer at 5 different
Colleges of Advanced Senior Colleges teaching Financial Management.
The lesson to be learned is to
Advance your EDUCATION while you are being employed.
The opportunities will definitely come , just be patient.
Aim high, it definitely needs hard
Work to go with it.
