I have found out that the pilot light was off this morning. I put it back on. But, realized water sprinkles on top of the pan? Do i need to call someone?

Your heater have some kind of leak, don't try to lite up the pilot again. The leak could be one of the connections or the tank, the connection could be repair but not the tank. Call some one..
