My Craftsman riding lawn mower is stuck in 5th speed.











My Craftsman riding lawnmower is stuck in 5th speed. With the clutch fully depressed, the shifting lever will not move.

Can you tell us what model you have and what happened when it stuck.

I'm not sure of the model, but it is 7yrs old and a 17.5 hp. Nothing traumatic happened. Last season it seemed to get progressively harder to move the shifting lever. As I used the mower for the first time this season, it would not come out of 5th speed, where I must have left it last season.
