I'm installing a new oven/combo. It calls for 8 gauge solid wire. Stranded would be much easier to run in existing conduit. What's the reason it calls for solid? Any reason not to use stranded other than the manfacturer call for it?
Thanks

Never heard of that, I always use stranded,
Except for some Grounds.
What is the Make and Model of this unit?
#14 and #12 solid is common in household wiring. #8 is not.
It's a whirlpool oven/microwave combo. I think I'll go with stranded..
Thanks.
