Attaching a garage to a floating slab structure.
I am planning on attaching a garage to a workshop that is on a floating 4" slab. The roof lines will be going in diff. directions like a "T". What is the best way to attaché them together?

Roof will have the same pitch as well as wall heights. The first building is East west the second will be North and South. Roof is shingle.

Make ridge same height as existing ridge.

If attic area is not to be used, isnstall rafters and sheathing.

Extend ridge so that they meet.
Cut extendridge to match pitch of roof.

Nail 2x8, on the flat, from corner where walls meet to ridge. Set 2x8 edge even with existing rafter and edge of rater. Install cripple rafters from extended ridge to 2x8.

This will give u a valley.

If need info for shingle install, let us know.
