No light over license plate & needs white light over license plate (2 separate charges) reckless driving & swerving on road (2 separate charges) does this seem right to you? This happened in the middle of a hick town in Georgia.

Swerving on road... DUI... whatever. I don't know what you are trying to say. How can those two issues be two different charges unless you were maybe gosh, under the influence at the time and were lucky to get of without a DUI. I wouldn't **pursue**this if I were you and just be happy it was only those two charges.

I don't have a light over my license plate? Well not that I know of and I drive a newer car. And I did swerve a lot on the fourth of July but I wasn't drinking that night. I was being a bad driver and trying to get stuff out of my glove box. Lol. And he only gave me a warning. I use to live in Georgia. What part did this happen in?

OK, was these tickets from the same traffic stop, or where you stopped just once. Was it the same officer that gave all the tickets.

If for example, you get a ticket for no light over the license plate ( required in GA) since the plate has to be visible for a number of feet at night. And then the next day ( you don't fix it) you drive again, they can give you a ticket since you failed to fix it.

For reckless driving, and if you swerved the middle, you could get a ticket for
    1. recless driving
    2. not obeying a traffic control device ( yellow line)

For the license plate, you could, normally not, get a ticket for improper vechile equipment and another ticket for licnese plate not visible.

In GA they have some very speciic laws, for example, if your license plate cover hides any of the county sticket it is not legal

In GA, you can not have anything hanging from the rear view mirror ( it blocks views)

In GA a sticker on the back window that may block vision is illegal

Also often they more you argue and make a... 8888 of yourself, the more tickets the officer writes

My worst, I had a man I was only going to give a warning to, ( he had a tail light out) it was so rude, I eneded up with 6 tickets for everything you could image.

Hey Tick, I did not have anything to drink, I took a breathalyzer test and blew a zero(0.) Swerving over road means crossing over yellow line! I was as polite as could be.

    FR_Chuck,

This was one traffic stop and one officer that gave me the four (4) tickets, I was polite as could be and apologized. It was not until later that I saw what he had written, I was very happy to drive on out of Georgia, as their laws seem to be made up as they go along!

Fr_Chuck are you a police officer, you had mentioned writing tickets instead on just a warning?

    Used to be a officer,

While officers and departments don't use the term "quota" and deny having them, most officers are on a system of evaluation where they get points for different things they do. And others are expected to do a certain number of tickets a month and so on.

Hard to say why, and what you also have is a "income method" city police departments make income from tickets of course.

So you may have gotten a new officer trying to show others what he could do.

Sadly in that area ( got to be careful I drive there every day) but some are just ******* ( fill in the blank)

Your option is to go to a city court and fight the ticket to a judge who will believe anything the officer says and wants the money for the city.

You other optoin is to ask for the case to be moved to state court. Where you may get a better chance of a hearing

Being a bad driver is something to "lol" about? You realize people die from car accidents caused by people not paying attention and being bad drivers? I guess I'm missing the humor here. And how this anecdote is helpful to the OP
