    Toilets knocking when flushed
We recently had the public works do some water work on the street. Since the service has been restored the toilets make a loud hissing/ clanking sound. Does not do it on the sinks, only when the toilet is first flushed and until it is finished filling. I have put new fluidmaster guts in, but no help.

    Thanks
    Larry

Toilets? Are both toilets making the same sound?
If I read you correctly this is a fill problem and not a flush problem. Correct?
That is to say the sound persists after the flush and during the time the tank's filling? Right?
    Back to you, Tom

Do you know what your water pressure was before and now? Worth checking

Yes Tom, the sound is during the fill. Not sure what the water pressure was before/ or what it is now.
    Thanks

Bob may be on to something here. Purchase a hose bib pressure gage,(see image) and let us know what your house pressure is. Regards, Tom
