We have a slab floor in our office with 3 toilets connected to the sewer line. It's been back ing up since the earthquake last month. The plumber put a camera down the line and said a part of the clay pipe is back pitched and that he had to jack hammer the concrete and replace the pipe with pvc pipe. This involves tearing out the wood floor and considerable expense. Are there any other solutions to this? Please help!

How many feet of the main has back fall?
It depends upon where the fixtures are located. If on or near a outside wall it may be possible to tunnel under the foundation, pick up the branches, convert them to PVC and bring them out side where a new PVC main can be installed. The old main can be capped off and the new main teed into the existing sewer line.
It may also be possible to install a sewer ejector pump in line and pump the sewage out under pressure. Outside of that it's jackhammer time. Good luck, Tom

If there is back pitch it has to be fixed. I agree with speedie that you may be able to reroute the main but you would have to check on the sewage ejector pump thought. Depending on what your inspector allows... some areas will not allow anything to be pumped that could be gravity
