    Personal travelers allowance
This man I have been talking to online for over a month, he is in England right now and says he has to have 3000.00 pounds in order to leave to go to the US because he is not a US citizen or a UK citizen and says that the airline and immigration won't let him board the plane unless he has this amount of money. Is this true? I can not seem to be able to call the immigration there, because I can not figure out their particular phone number, so I have no way of finding out for myself. Please help!

SCAM ALERT! Let me guess - he's asking you to send him 3000 pounds, right? The man is a thief. I have travelled all over the world, and no airline or immigration control point has EVER asked whether I have enough money to enter the country. It's ludicrous - in today's world the vast majority of travelers use credit cards to pay their expenses - not cash. This man is hoping you'll send him the money and then he will disappear and leave you with nothing. You should break off all conversation with this scammer now!

Unfortunately I have already sent him some money. I'm too ambarrased to say just how much though. Lets put it this way, I will be paying off my credit cards for at least 3 to 4 years now. What A STUPID FOOL I HAVE BEEN! I believed everything he has said so far until now. Actually he has about 2200.00 pounds but he needs about 920.00 more pounds because he had to stay and help his sister because she was about to lose her baby. He said he has a 5 million dollar check that he sent to a bank in the US. He was supposed to have left this past Tuesday, but then his sister needed help. I keep telling him he is a scammer, but he keeps denying it. And he said his credit cards are not in good standing. And he says God is testing us, because I am very spiritual and believe that God does test us and does every thing for a reason. And to think I believed him when he said he loves me. But at the same time, puts pressure on me to find money to send to him. It's been one story after another and one dissapointment after another as well. Thank you though for your answers. This is what I needed to know.
