See... how about a rectangle's perimeter is 32 inches, how can you get the answer of area??
Even if you just give me the formula...
shape:rectangle
perimeter:32 in
area:?? OR formula:
please
^_^
How can you get the area using perimeter??
Before you ask >>>>
Shape:rectangle
Perimeter:32 inches
The first one can have 3 lolipops!!
Well, you cannot really give the area like this.
Let's say that the length is 'l in' and the width is 'w in'.
The perimeter is given by 2(l+w) = 32.
The area is given by lw.
Since there is no more information, there is no exact area.
You may have a length of 1 in, and width of 15, giving a perimeter of 32, and an area of 15.
You can also have a length of 2 in, and width of 14, giving a perimeter of 32, and an area of 28.
For a maximum area, you'll see that the length should equal the width, but then, you'll have a square, with length 8 and width 8 with area 64 in^2.
