    Being asked to vacate
I rent a apartment and have leased for 1year. This house is sold and new owner is asking me to leave. Am I entitled to get some money form the landlord, we are four people in one unit.

    Hello l:

It's better to start your own thread when asking a new question. I know you didn't know that. Maybe somebody will come along to move it.

If you have a lease, the new owner CAN'T ask you to leave. They are obligated to adhere to your lease.

As excon said its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

If you have a lease in affect, the new owner has to honor it. They don't have to renew it however. If they want you out before the lease is up you may ask for compensation.

You have "leased" for one year, is the lease still in effect or did it run out, Is there a current lease in effect ?

If there is a lease, the new owners have to honor that lease. Unless your lease gives them other specific rights.

If there is no lease, they can ask you to leave with a legal notice.

If there is a lease, and they want you out, it is with in your rights to ask to be bought out
