How do I sue police for slander and defamation?
6yrs ago I worked as a shuttle bus driver at a Gov site I was stop for going pass a checkpoint I the police ask for driving license they ran a make The police found that I had a misdemeanor charge in 1985 petty theft which was dismiss w/unsupervise probation ( stay out of trouble) case dismiss. I found out the police started investigating my for allege theft telling my employer I was committing crimes I had nothing to due with. I left that company and started looking for other employment I found out that the police was giving information stated the I committed crimes to around the community and employers during background checks I need advice on how to sue them for slandering my name and defaming my character.
