I am transplanting a sego palm from a container to the ground, how deep do I plant it and what amendments should I use, also how often does it need to be watered? I live in so. Calif.

I have transplanted them from pot to ground many times with nothing special done. They are fine, unless they get stuck in the sun, then the fronds burn. In my area they are better treated like a fern. I'm in Northern CA.:)
