How do you cut and past on a MAC
I highlight and do control C and then V at the top. My friend says she
Has a MAC and can't do it on a MAC the way I do. She's as challenged
As I am so can you explain simply how to cut and paste. I want her
To join this site but the replies come in an email and you have to C&P

Hilight what you want to copy, leave it highlighted, go to edit, hit copy, then go to where you want it, click there , leaving the curser there, and go to edit again, and hit paste, and... :)

It's been a while since I used a MAC and only helped with OSX, but the same similar CNTRL+V shortcuts are shown on the menu like in Windows are likely still there. They are just different. Might be something like Option+Copy or Apple+C or something.

It's Apple+C for copy, Apple+X for cut, and Apple+V for paste.

I setup at least one Apple computer a week on networks... and there's no way I'm typing in the wireless encryption keys I use. :D

No, there is a key on the Mac with an apple symbol. That is a modifier like a shift key.

You highlight the text you want to copy, and the push the <apple> key and hold it down and press the C at the same time to copy text. The key should be at the bottom of the keyboard near the shift key.

A wireless encryption key is used to connect to a secured wireless network.

And as mentioned above, you do not type the word "Apple". Just like when said that you push control and c to copy, you did not mean that you type the word "control."

The two methods above <apple> + C and via the edit menu work from my experience. Also you can highlight and then press the "Option" key and click to give you a context menu and then use the copy/paste functions from there.
