We have a 25 year old inground pool that's in need of some extensive repair - the concrete around the pool has shifted and is pulling away from the pool, also, there's a slow leak that causes us to have to put water in the pool daily. In short, we are not willing to pay the kind of money necessary to fix the pool and would just like for it to go away. What would it take to deconstruct the pool and approximately how much would it cost?

Depends on the codes covering where you live. Call your local building department and get the code and then bring it back to us. I my area the entire structire must be dug out and removed, no debris allowed in the hole and then filled with soil similar to the surrounding area. Other places will allow you to fill with debris and cave it in but it all depends on your code
