how do you find the slope from an equation?
it depends on the equation form.
there's standard, point-slope, and my favorite- slope intercept
You probably want to get it into slope-intercept form:
m is slope.
To do that, use your basic algebra to get y isolated to one side (like solving for y), and then x and any constants on the other side. Combine any like terms you may have, make sure the y is positive. The coefficient on the x is the slope (m).
If it's in point-slope form then it's still the m.
