    ITIN number as SSN for tax filing
    Hi,

    While filing taxes for year 2008 in the US, I received the ITIN no. for my wife who is currently on H4 Visa (and I am on H1B).

    Now I am planning to file my 2009 taxes using an online tax filing website with the status as "Married Filing Jointly".

    My question -

    1. Can the ITIN number received for my wife be used in place of the SSN box on the website for filing tax?

    2. Please suggest a good tax filing website.

    3. Please let me know me any other important aspect that I need to take care in my case.

    Yes, enter the ITIN.
