Cross country move in a rental truck
    Hello,
I am moving from San Francisco, CA to Pittsburgh, PA (2700 miles) and based on where the house I am living in is located, my only option in moving is to rent a truck and tow my car behind it. I am renting a 16 foot truck and a car carrier (not tow dolly) for my Honda Accord and would like to know if anyone has made a similar move with a truck and towing a car. Any experiences, concerns, comments, feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Over 30 years I did it 15 times or so. Make sure you get the optional insurance, and expect some breakage, no matter how careful you are.

Drive the speed limit. When I moved from Michigan to Florida a few years ago I almost got into an accident because I was doing 75 and almost hit a car trying to get in a exit ramp. When I missed the exit ramp I was forced to get back on the highway which was busy and going much faster than me since I had turned into a exit ramp lane. If you're a lead foot in the car (as I admit that I am) go the speed limit because those trucks take longer to slow down.
