Can someone who is currently on probation for a felony get a small business loan or mortgage? This person will be on probation for 10 years, so I'm just looking into what that will mean for him.

His probationer status will NOT effect his ability to get loans. Most likely, the mortgage company will never know about his conviction.

Unless the specific lender has some ethic issues, the real issue will be his ability to pay and what security they have for the loan.

His credit score will probably mean more than his felony score.
