My last period started Jan, 3 2010. It always starts within the first 4 days of every month. The first month I missed my period (february) in the middle of the month for about a week and a half I had some spotting/ brown discharge, and some minor cramps. The second month ( this march) I have had cramps come and go but no spotting. I have been feeling kind of tired lately and kind of nauseas. Today I threw up for no reason. I took a pregnancy test 3 days after I missed my period and another about a week later. They both said NO. After missing this month I took another test and it said NO. I'm not on birth control and me and my fiance' do not use protection at all, so it is very likely I could be pregnant. Im just confused with the "signs" saying yes and pregnancy test saying NO! ANY THOUGHTS??

I think it's time to go to your doctor.

There are many reasons for a woman to skip a period or two, pregnancy isn't the only one.

Have you recently changed your diet, exercise program, under more stress then usual, medication? All these and more can affect your period.

See your doctor and get to the bottom of this, find out what's going on.

like alty said... there are many, many things that can play into your cycle being "off"... including pregnancy.

as for the common "signs" of pregnancy... most of the common ones stated are presumptive... meaning they hold no real solid value for accurate diagnosis... many of those same symptoms can be experienced by, well, me... a man.

not saying that presumptive symptoms don't warrant a deeper look... especially when you are having unprotected sex.

as for the negatives... as you probably know, a negative test really doesn't help much when you still aren't getting your period. A negative test does not mean not pregnant... it means failure to detect threshold levels of pregnancy hormones.

which happens when you aren't pregnant. Or happens when you are but your levels are low.

did you take the tests first thing in the morning when you got up when hormone levels would be at their highest?

I haven't taken the tests first thing in the morning! I wanted to get another test and try that. And nothing has really changed in my life as far as exercise, medicine,stress etc... I have been feeling cramps on and off through out each month and I got sick again today for no reason. Its like one minute I'm fine and the I get super nauseas and throw up! And I haven't seen a doctor yet because I don't have insurance so I'm going to try to find a clinic.. Im just getting concerned because I know people who have take pregnancy test after pregnancy test and then finally months later find out there pregnant. But I also know that's not all that can be going on having these symptoms.

So? Were you in fact pregnant?
