    Tank won't fill with water after water was shut off and turned back on
    The other day my contractor turned off the water to work on the kitchen plumbing. The next day he turned it back on and not my toilet will not flush and the tank won't fill with water. How can I fix this?

    You have debris in either angle stop, water supply or the fill valve itself.

    First, close and open the valve (at the bottom of the toilet) several times. If that doesn't help, check fill valve. Fill tube is plugged. Make sure you close angle stop before you do anything with the fill valve. It is under pressure...

    Follow Milo's advice, lift the tank lid look inside and tell us which fill valve do you have, see timages below, Thanks.
