I went through the state for a dna test with my sons father and it turned out to be posititive. Well now since he legally is his dad will he have to pay child support because I really don't want to make him.

Why would you not want to receive child support if this man is the father? Makes no sense to me that you would just let this guy off the hook financially.

If you didn't want child support, why did you have a DNA test done? Was it a mandatory test? Are you receiving state assistance of any kind? Was the father denying paternity?

Are you hesitant to receive child support because you feel this "entitles" him to the child?

Why would you not want child support? Even if you don't need it now, you could at least set it aside in an account for your child so they can pay for school or other things they might need/want later in life.
