    Oil: normal or synthetic??
    Hi!
    What is the difference between normal 2 cycle oil or synthtic 2 cycle oil??

    There can be a lot. It depends on the ones you choose to use. But the main difference is that in synthetics you usually use less and it has more lubricating properties built into it as an additive.

    From experince syntheics are usually thinner as well as tending to burn away quicker. For motorcycles you should always stick natural types as sythenics can have other properties than cause issues, such as a lot of bikes have wet clutches (oil spins around the clutch plates) so if you use any of the magentec type oils it will cause no end of problems with the clutch. There can be countless other issues to so best to stick with natural when dealing with motorcycles. That being said castrol gtx (standard) is one of the best oils I've ever used.
