Anyway, this is probably a naïve question, but googling this term only brought up... well, porn.

I was watching this "The Smoking Gun's World's Dumbest" and this guy went into a sex shop and paid to go into a little room where I guess porn is played.

He sets fire there--anyway, all these men come running out of the little rooms.

So, is this just a little place for people to watch porn? Is there a term for this? I wanted to wiki it. It's just interesting because I honestly had no idea they had places like that. I mean, why not just watch at home?

They often have a real women doing "acts" in a center booth, men put money or buy time to watch though a window.

Sometimes, they'll be able to make suggestions or requests of the 'actors.'

The booths are also a private place where they can 'enjoy' themselves and feel like they're in public.

It's usually a booth with a real person/s so it satisfies the voyeur fantasy - at least this is what it's like in Oz.

Those were originally "Peep Booths" back in the days before VCR's... and even after that. They pretty much have mostly gone away wince the internet became so big.

After all if you can do it at home... who needs or wants to go to those... except the small segment that's into things most of us are disgusted by.
