Hi,
I am in the US on a J1 visa and work as a researcher. Before this, I was in Italy for 4 years as a PhD Scholar. It's time for me to file my taxes (for the very first time in my life and hence I am completely clueless!), and my questions are :
1. Must I claim tax returns under the US-India tax treaty or the US-Italy tax treaty?
2. What forms are required to do either and how does one go about it?
I greatly appreciate any help I can get!
