After several trials and tribulations due both hurricanes and other factors I am considering Chapter 13. I hate the thought of it. I was on a Credit Counseling Program when I moved here and was doing great. Then after the 2 hurricanes I begged relief from my payments for 3 months. I called back to have them re-instated, they were going to do so as far as I knew....but then they dropped me. Around the same time my son went into Intensive Care (he's fine now) but I missed the drop letter, I just assumed they were going to start it back up. I didn't find out until about 2 months later. So due to everything I fell way behind in payments. Some companies have been willing to work with me but now I have these damn Junk Debt Buyers that won't set up a payment plan with me to repay the debt so I have no choice. Either way the debt stays on my record as a charge off and I get to pay garnished wages....The junk Debt Buyers have given me no choice.
Will my car insurance company be notified. Has anyone worked with Triad and filed Bankruptcy will they let me keep my car?
