I have a 1995 ford mustang, not sure of the motor size. For some reason I'm having a hard time getting it into reverse and fifth gear. The gears are grinding something awful. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

It sounds like either you have a bad idler gear or syncro inside the transmission. Also have you checked the fluid level in it? Need A good transmission man to either rebuild or replace the unit. Sorry no user serviceable parts inside.

Manual transmission? If so turn off engine to get in reverse until fixed. Clutch.
