I filled 1040NR-EZ for 2008 through CPA(mail). For 2009, I am using 1040-EZ and trying to e-file the same. But to get the 2008 PIN for e-file, IRS automated system is not giving me a PIN and asking me to use 2008 AGI as 0. Is that okay? Is it because I used 1040NR-EZ for 2008? Hi Sudha, I am in the same situation as you. Did you figure out a way to e-file? Did you enter 0 as your Adjusted Gross Income, as suggested by the IRS?

No. I spoke with IRS and there is no clear answer. So the best way to file the return through mail.
