However, Hydrocodone may not cause a positive result in a standard opiate urine test. Many opiate tests (SAMHSA-5) test only for morphine. Hydrocodone does not break down into morphine, and is therefore not detected by these tests.

But there are tests that do detect systemic Hydrocodone. It depends on the lab and/or test kit used.

I just found out I was pregnant and had taken a hydrocodone a few days before that and was wondering how long they stay in your system? I have not taken anymore since I found out I was pregnant but and scared about taking them before please help.
