How do I properly vent my basement commode that runs into a vented tank?
I've installed a basement up-pump tank, and the toilet doesn't swirl or drain properly. The 30" high tank the pump sits in is vented, what's the problem?

    Hi Pipes:

You did install the 30" high tank in the ground.. level with the floor... yes? If not, then that is the problem?

Understanding that you vented the up flush pit, did you install a separate vent for the toilet?

Finally, if you are having issues and you did everything right then the next most likely culprit will be the WAX GASKET... could have squeezed over the closet flange and cause the issues you mention. Here, lift the toilet and check the condition of the wax gasket...

Back to you with your thoughts...
