    High Max
    Please lend me a hand my friends
    I am weak in faith and have been an atheist or agnostic at best since I was 14 years old, I am 22 now. I am trying to find my way to Christ but my mind is plagued with doubt and confusion. Please pray for me and ask the Lord to help me overcome these difficult circumstances.. thank you for your time.

    Sure will, remember doubt and confussion are normal. We look at Peter who after walking on water for a bit, still went on to deny Christ in fear.

    We look at two of the other Apostles who were interested in their position in heaven.

    And Paul whose churches were often falling away, doing things they should not. To the point of disgust where he was glad he had not baptised hardly anyone hisself.

    It is much harder for us who have not seen the direct Glory of Christ when he was in the flesh here, and esp with society attacking anything moral and christian.

    But he is there to help you, as you follow your journey of life toward him

    Thanks. I am trying my hardest and hope to find my way soon. Science and religion fitting together is often very difficult..

    Suggest you get hold of a book, More than a Carpenter, or a more weighty study, Evidence than demands a verdict, both written by people who had doubts but found faith, in the mean time ask God to revel Jesus to you.

    I do pray for you.
    I ask the Holy Spirit to help and guide you to God though an ever growing stronger faith.
    I ask this in the name of the Father and the Son. And the Holy Spirit. Amen.
    Please remember that a faith grows as a person exercise it.
    You work your faith. Cast doubts aside with prayer to do so.
    God is with you and loves you, but you must be active in your efforts.
    The rewards of success are very great and eternal.

    I definitely need to work towards a more moral lifestyle. My current god so to speak is sex, lust and pleasure. That's all I care about. I am not afraid to admit this as I feel being honest about things is the best way to make progress. I sometimes wonder if my disconnect from God is my extremely immoral lifestyle.. What do you think?

    Nahh. I think you're just immoral. What? You don't know any immoral religious folks like priests maybe? Nope. If you want to BE moral, then BE moral. Having some guy in flowing robes telling you that ain't going to make it happen any easier.

    Your guilty conscience speaks out loud in you post.
    And that's OK because it is honest.
    It is normal for a great many people to think of sex and that covers a lot of various age groups including mine and I am 77 years old, but I am moral.
    You can be moral with God's help if you really try.
    Discuss the situations with God through prayer.
    And here is a short prayer that works for me every time.
    "God please take this temptation from me."
    Often times it come back so I must say it again with deep sincerity.
    To persevere you must keep trying and praying.
    BUT that DOES work and the payoff is great indeed.
    It's called a clear conscience that is easy to live with and caused little trouble like imorarality causes.

    Everyone who knows and wants to know God schould set aside a
    Specific time, every day or night or both, to spend alone with Him.
    This should be a time to read the bible, and I would get a easy reading
    Bibe like the Living Bible, to pray, meditate on what it is saying to you.
    Recite His promises, talk to Him, and listen to Him. He loves you more
    Than anyone and knows your ever thought. The blood of Jesus Christ,
    His Son cleanses us from all sin. The bible goes on to say that when
    We sin, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us
    our sins and to cleanes us from all unrighteousness." Continuous
    Forgiveness and fellowship with the Father are the keys to spiritual stability. Don't give up. Get to know how good and great and loving
    Our God is, He will never give up on you. Get a book called
    "God Promises", and read it offen. It is a small book but powerful.

    We all have sinned and we do every day. God loves you and his love is so powerful that he gave his son to die for us. Think about that! That is such an all consuming love. When you are saved by the blood of Christ you are his. It doesn't mean you are going to be perfect , no one is. It means we ask forgiveness and he forgives.

    There are people who will scoff at anyone's faith in God and that's because Satan uses them to do so. God has all power over Satan. Satan fears him and trembles at his words and flees when you speak God's name. The main message of the Bible is "rescue".

    Paul points out none of us 'deserve God's mercy and none of us can save ourselves. All we can do is cry out for help. The wonderful thing about salvation is that when we call out to God and mean it he rescues us. The reason satan has a flourishing business is he knows he has only a short time to deceive as many as he can. God Bless and keep You.

    I pray that the Holy Spirit helps you and strengthens you and that He HELPS you to strengthen your own faith exercising it like a muscle.

    I am going through a similar experience, trying hard to hold onto my faith. I won't give up, and I pray you don't as well. As hard as it may seem to accept, God does have something better planned for us. We will get through this. Hang in there. I will too.

    There have been a lot of those dark nights in my life, but the Lord was there and he brought me through them. God Bless You!
