How do I get the back off a kenmore 70 series washing machine?

Many washing machines have a couple of screws on control panel to secure to the top of the machine, may have to remove the plastic side pieces at the sides of control panel, then you may see 2 spring clips, prying with a screwdriver will remove, verify you can reinstall the clip before removing the second clip, the whole front of washer may tilt forward and be able to be removed.
