    Re Auto accident and payment
About two weeks while parking my car, a man tried to go around me and scraped the left side of my car and the headlights on that side
Fell off onto the street. I called the police and reported it. My mechanic
Didn't charge very much to put the headlamps back on but if I want to
Take care of the dents and scratches caused by this man, it would cost
    Over $1,000.
This man told the police I didn't signal so he didn't know I was parking.
It was the dumbest thing I every heard. Anyway, I feel I should not have
Even had to put out the money I did for the lamps. I picked up the police
Report and it only gave the man's insurance card # but no name of company.
Is it too late to pursue this claim?

No, the police should be able to give you the carrier from the card #. But frankly, I don't think you have much of a case. A car trying to maneuver into or out of a parking space needs to yield to cars in the roadway. Therefore, its likely the bulk of the fault will lie with you.

jammy23 disagrees : It was a small street, all the traffic stopped.. he changed his mind and tried to go around me while I was parking

First, may I call your attention to the guidelines for using the comments feature found here:

As noted, using the Disagree option for a comment is only to be used to correct an inaccurate or wrong response. The fact that the person existing from a parking space or driveway MUST yield the right of way to a vehicle in the roadway is factual. Therefore it was my OPINION, based on what YOU posted, that you didn't have much of a case. I stand by what I said. It was my opinion based on certain facts. Your giving me a negative comment was, therefore, inappropriate and a violation of our rules. Please learn the rules of this site and adhere to them.

Yes, just because you feel it is a specific fault, does not mean it is. We can not see the police report and who the police put at fault in the accidnet.

    Was anyone given a ticket.
And if not listed, it is possible he may not have had insurance, a lot of uninsured drivers everywhere.

You can follow up with the police, or merely have your insurance continue with contact with this person.
