We are building a log house with the stove/range in the corner at a 45 degree angle. I want a micro-hood vent combo above it. We are mounting the cabinets ourselves and have no idea how to proceed!

You will have to find a microwave that is corner mounted above the stove, it is important to follow the specs and make sure you have the proper clearance above the burners to prevent fires and or heat damage to the microwave. I suggest you search the website of the brand you are lookinh for. Good luck.

Over-the-range microwaves are all 30 inches in width, just like the upper cabinets above a 30 inch range. It doesn't matter that its going in a corner, as the sides of the microwaves don't interact with any cabinetry. The microwaves attach to the wall using a metal plate that anchors to wall studs, and then with bolts down through the upper cabinet. To sum up, the only thing that matters (as far as your "corner" question) is the wall and the cabinet above the proposed space.

The Sears model # is: 564.8668410, Sanyo Model is EM-5525
The control board part number is: 12360

Any service manual containing the control board part number is wanted.

According to Sears, the original part number for the control was 12360R, but has been substituted to RFR-CGI, which their site states they have in stock for $150. I am getting the impression that its not a real part, but an offer for you to return your control to them for repair, afterwhich it is returned to you. There are several companies in the US that offer this service; one of which is CG Industries ("part number RFR-CGI looks alot like "refer to CGI"). CGI can certainly be contacted at www.cgiltd.com, where you would find an order form and phone number. I have had good luck with controls I have sent to them for repair. Good luck.

I did find them before. A resistor and opto isolator are popped on the circuit board at a minimum. I have the obsolete part in hand.

There are some other issues too, but I can deal with them too.

RFR-CGI should mean Return for Repair and the price they have in their price list is $96.
