:) Hi, I dreamt that this girl and I were good friends (she was one of those friends that your dream creates that you've never seen before to your knowledge). She was pregnant and I was so happy for her. Time came for her to have the baby and the baby died by getting choked by its cord. I was as hurt as if it had been my own child.
My questions are:
What does having a baby die in your dream mean. Some one told me that a baby usually means change. Is that true? And if so then does it mean that somehow something that was going to change in my life isn't going to any more?
Usually I just let my dreams go but this one has been nawing at me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Baby usually indicates NEW... new ideas, new relationship, new life-style... (so yes CHANGE) To have the baby die can indicate your plans and/or ideas have been or will be squelched. The girl represents another aspect of yourself, for she was the one in your dream bearing the child which may explain why it affected you so in the dream when the baby died, and why this is gnawing at you in waking life. Also since birthing requires labor there may be an indication of a job or career change ahead of you . In any case take precautions so that anything new coming up isn't lost.. our dreams allow us insight to prepare and prevent.
