How to remove moth ball smell from old cedar chest
Putting moth balls in an old cedar chest seems kind of redundant, heheh. Naphtha does evaporate, so you might try just a little time and air movement. Might try putting a small fan right inside the cedar chest and let it sit a few days.
After a couple of days, you can try lightly sanding the entire interior surface of the chest too. This should also rejuvenate the "cedar" smell too. Good luck with that. I don't know this will absolutely work, never had to deal with that before.
