    Bassett Puppy with blister
My 10 month old Bassett Hound has developed one pencil-eraser-end-sized blister filled with a yellowish fluid. It seems a little sensitive. Her appetite seems good and the other abnormalities are that she seems to urinate more excessively and seems a little warmer in temperature than normal.

    Here are the environmental factors:
    -18 degrees out
-my dog's first ever exposure to snow and ice covered streets and grass
-she got a bath yesterday and
-I only discovered the blistered today.

(We have been snowed in and a the roads are closed due to the ice so I won't be able to get to a vet for a few days.)

Any ideas on what it could be or if there is anything I may do to resolve it or reduce the agitation at this time? (Any suggestions--like cleaning it with Alcohol or peroxide or Neosporin?)

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

You don't mention where the blister is located.

It's on her soft underbelly--about mid-center, her stomach area.

I am sorry nobody has gotten back to you on this. Since we have more good people answering questions here now than in the past, I have been disciplining myself to leave questions I hope somebody else will give a good answer.

It sounds like a boil, or even a burn. It doesn't sound serious to me. We have let this go into the weekend. If it isn't clearing up by Monday or there are more, I would call the vet.

I hope their absence the last day or 2 doesn't mean the current good people have moved on like all the rest have. I am very confident of my advice in the areas I have experience and training, but less so in some of the medical areas. I have tried to encourage other good people here, but they keep disappearing.
